Prague Dog Sitting

In-home dog care · Prague · in English

Your dog sleeps in its own bed. I come to you.

No kennel, no stranger's flat, no crate in the back of a van. I stay overnight in your home so your dog keeps its routine, its smells and its sofa while you're away.

What one night actually looks like
17:30 I arrive, keys and instructions in hand. Long walk before dark.
19:00 Dinner on your schedule, your food, your bowls.
21:00 Last toilet break. Photo update sent to you.
23:00 Lights out. I sleep in the flat, not down the road.
07:30 Morning walk, breakfast, flat left as I found it.

Why in your home

Boarding moves the dog. This moves the sitter.

Nothing changes for the dog

Same bed, same street, same feeding times. Anxious dogs, senior dogs and puppies all cope far better with a new person than with a new building.

One dog at a time

Your dog is not sharing me with a house full of other people's dogs. No group walks, no mixing with animals you haven't met.

Your flat is lived in

Lights on, post collected, plants watered, bins out. An empty apartment in Prague for two weeks is its own problem.

How a booking works

Four steps, no app, no account.

01

Message me your dates

WhatsApp or email. Tell me the dog, the dates and the address area. I'll confirm within a few hours whether I'm free.

02

We meet, at your place, free

Half an hour with you and the dog before anything is agreed. You see how the dog reacts to me, I see the flat and the routine. Either of us can walk away.

03

Short written agreement

Dates, rate, vet details, emergency contact, who pays for what. One page, signed by both of us. It protects you as much as it protects me.

04

Handover and daily updates

Keys on the first day. Photos or video every day you're away. Payment on the last day, cash or transfer, invoice if you need one.

Rates

Published, so nobody has to haggle.

About

An American in Prague who looks after dogs.

I care for dogs in their own homes across the city. I got into this the way most people do, by looking after a friend's dog and finding I was better at it than I expected.

I work with one household at a time. That means I turn bookings down, and it means the dog I'm with gets all of it: the walks, the company, and someone in the flat overnight rather than a visit twice a day.

If English is what you speak at home, that helps too. Instructions get followed exactly as you wrote them, and you get updates you don't have to run through a translator.

References

Nothing here yet, and I'm not going to invent any.

This section is empty on purpose.

I'd rather show you three real references from people whose dogs I've actually had than fill a page with testimonials from nobody. The first ones go up in autumn 2026. Until then, ask me for a phone number and speak to a client directly.

Get in touch

Tell me the dates and the dog.

Message me with your dates, your dog's name, breed and age, and roughly where in Prague you are. I'll come back to you the same day.
